Music Retreat – August 19th, 9a-3p

Children and Youth Music Retreat – August 19th, 9a-3p

All children ages rising K-5th grade who are interested in making music and being with church friends are invited to come to St. Peter’s on August 19th from 9:00a-3:00p for a Children and Youth Music Retreat.

Children will have opportunities to worship God, sing songs, play together, eat lunch (pizza provided), share snacks and create art. We’ll spend time working on music and ideas related to our church musical “It’s Cool in the Furnace” which we’ll present in February. This would be a great way to get a head start.

Youth (rising 6-12th graders) are also encouraged to attend to get a head start on the musical as well as participate in some of the events of the day. In addition to making music, youth will help shepherd the children, supervise and participate in art projects, and spend time getting to know each other.

We’ll cap off the day with a short program at 2:30 followed by an ice cream social. The children and youth will also help to lead worship the following Sunday, August 20th at the 9:45 service.

Registration forms are available here, on the Musical Arts bulletin board in the office, or by contacting Adam Hughes at ahughes@stpeterslutheran-lanc.org.
